After a grueling northeast winter, followed by a few early spring weeks loaded with high pollen counts, it is time to think of eating outdoors again! (My definition of ”outdoors” ranges from an admittedly “un-natural”, but terribly convenient apartment terrace to a cozy spot in a park away from the sights and sounds of other humans.
As a Single living with food allergies, you might be short on time, but long on plans. Have you heard of Sweet Loren’s fudge brownies? They’re made in a peanut-free facility and they taste scrumptious.
I view baked chicken, sweet potatoes and apples as easy picnic fare and all taste fine cold. A zip-lock bag provides the means for an effortless clean-up. Actually (and correct me, if I’m wrong), this picnic seems biodegradable. If you’re far from a trash can, bury the leftovers to serve as future fertilizer and to produce an apple tree.
