Singles With Food Allergies, LLC operates and owns SinglesWithFoodAllergies.com. We at Singles With Food Allergies, LLC respect the privacy of all visitors to our website.
The following describes what information we may collect and how we may use that information.
Our intent is to help you to find matches conveniently and successfully. From time to time, in our monthly newsletter, we may feature one or two Member profiles.
Singles With Food Allergies, LLC collects two broad types of information: personally identifiable information (PII) and non-personally identifiable information (non-PII). PII is unique to you. Non-PII is information that does not identify you specifically. Singles With Food Allergies, LLC only collects information that you provide voluntarily.
In order to enter this web site, you need to register as a Member. When you register, you provide a wide variety of information, such as your height, hair color, sex, marital status and interests, and you select a nick name and password.
Also, you may provide billing information, such as your e-mail address, full name, address and payment information. We keep your billing information and password secure.
As a Member, you create a profile to help you to find a match. Your profile may include a photo and essay. Your profile, which may be viewed by interested Members, only has your selected nick name to identify you. If you submit photos, Singles With Food Allergies, LLC will make them available to other Members.
COOKIES: Singles With Food Allergies, LLC may place “cookies” on some of its web pages. These very small files enable us to give to you the individualized responses that you expect. For example, cookies help us to understand your interests and demographics, so we can tailor our newsletter to serve our very diverse, food-sensitive community better. Cookies let us identify new visitors and enable us to count our traffic. Your browser may allow you to decline cookies. However, as a website, SWFA needs cookies to operate best, so if your browser rejects all cookies, you may have difficulties throughout your visits. A third party advertiser may collect anonymous data concerning Member visits, by using cookies. The majority of our cookies will be “session cookies”. Your PII is not linked to the cookies.
If you’ve opted in to receive our newsletter, you may receive cookies placed to determine if your newsletter is opened and which links interested you.
WEB BEACONS: When we find advertisements of interest to those affected by food allergies, we may either directly add them to our site or use third party advertisers. A third party advertiser may collect anonymous data concerning Member visits, by using web beacons, which are called tags or clear GIFs. No web beacon is linked to your PII.
How We Use Collected Information
We want your visits to be satisfying, time-efficient and productive. Therefore, we offer services that make it easier for you to meet other Members, such as individual profiles. Your profile is available for other Members to see and it excludes any identifying information about you, like your e-mail address. Your e-mail address is not available to any third party beyond how it is detailed in this policy.
We may collect automatically non-PII information about how our Members use our site, such as the time and the date that you visit and your access domain. This information is not personally-identifiable. We may analyze this information to improve your visit and to share this information with carefully-selected third parties.
We may use PII to market our website better, to improve our website design, to provide more relevant content and to understand how our Members use this website. We may use your voluntarily-provided information to send our monthly newsletter, which may contain articles, product announcements, banner ads and food safety warnings.
We may use your information, if disputes or difficulties arise.
We need and value your referrals. To each of your referred friends, we will send two invitations to visit our web site which will include your name. Please refer only unmarried adults who have at least one food allergy or who come from households associated with and/or respectful of food allergies.
We at Singles With Food Allergies, LLC hope for a cure for food allergies. As a result, anonymously, we may use information from our web site to further scientific research. No PIIs will be shared.
How We Disclose Information
It is not our intent to disclose any communications between Members or to disclose any PII. However, if we are required to disclose by a federal or state government, law enforcement agency or an authorized third party, we will cooperate. This may involve intellectual property issues, fraud or any illegal activity. In our sole discretion, we will disclose communications to protect any Member’s safety, if threats arise. Also, we will disclose information to the appropriate authorities to protect any Member from abuse (which is not limited to domestic violence).
We do not rent or sell your PII to any third party.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION: We require certain information, such as your checking account information or your credit card information, when you register as a Member, after our initial free Membership promotion. We use this information to quickly process your Membership request through an authorized credit card processing company and any other third party needing the information to process your order.
When you become a Member, you accept our payment processing, which involves third parties, and may include your bank and your credit card issuer. We uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and/or strong encryption (3DES) technology.
ADVERTISERS: Singles With Food Allergies, LLC collects PII from multiple Members and shares this information in a non-PII way. Your name, e-mail account, bank account, password and credit card are never revealed to advertisers.
